Player Development

The BCFA Disability Centre of Excellence is supported by the Football Association and falls into the Disability Player Pathway.

The centre competes in the FA centre of excellence fixture programme for the Midlands.  This ensures high quality competitive opportunities on a regular basis.

England Scouts visit the sessions on a regular basis to ensure that players can continue to move up the player pathway.  The centre provides high quality coaching; all delivered by FA Qualified Level 2/3 coaches and is overseen by an UEFA B License director.

Players at the centres will still play for their club (disability or mainstream) and the centre of excellence training will just be an addition to their development. It’s the pinnacle of players in the West Midlands and offers the best football opportunities to progress through the below pathway.

The purpose of The Football Association Programme for Excellence is to identify players of outstanding ability and place them in a technical and educational programme designed to produce football excellence in conjunction with personal development.
