Amy Sproson
National Game Strategy Team Manager - Coventry, Solihul and Warwickshire
Joined the County FA after graduating from University in 2004. Amy leads on football across CSW. She has a strong passion for disability football and covers the whole of the county FA in this role. Amy oversees the BCFA Disability Centre of Excellence, the Regional Cerebral Palsy Team and the Area Blind Team. Amy also works closely with the Birmingham Ability Counts League, which is the disability league within the county for youth and adult disability teams. Amy is the West Midlands Regional Disability Co-ordinator and runs both the BCFA Disability Advisory Group and the Futsal Working Group. Amy sits on the National Disability Tutor Group and also the National British College Sport Disability Group, as well as attending the National Cerebral Palsy and Blind Football League meetings. Amy also leads on Futsal development within the Birmingham County FA. Amy became Senior FDO in 2011.
Rachael Blunt
National Game Strategy Officer - Coventry, Solihul and Warwickshire
Girl’s and Women’s Football Development Officer for Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire (CSW)
Joined the Birmingham County FA in 2008. Rachael previously worked with Staffordshire County Football Association for 4 years as the Girls and Women’s Community Coach and Derbyshire FA as a Girls and Women’s FDO. Rachael has 10 years of coaching background and holds her Level 3 Coaching Certificate and Youth Coaches qualification. This has provided her with a lot of experience/knowledge to bring in to the role and the CSW area. Rachael works with many projects and in particular leads on developing the female workforce within the County and the Female Coach Mentoring Scheme, Coventry City Girls Centre of Excellence and the Coventry Minor League. She also sits on the CSW Forum and has strong links with CSW Sport utilizing sport unlimited and coach bursary funding as well as other projects and initiatives.
Claire Mulvenna
National Game Strategy Officer - Coventry, Solihul and Warwickshire
Football Development Officer (Growth, Retention & Workforce). Joined the County FA in 2009. Claire has a remit primarily focused on increasing county workforce, through the FA Football Futures Programme, utilizing Junior Football Organisers Courses, reward schemes for young volunteers and expertise at existing Charter Standard Clubs to maximize workforce development. Claire also works closely with Further and Higher Education establishments to increase football provision and link into existing football development programmes at BCFA.
Heidi Lockyer
National Game Strategy Team Manager - Black Country
Started working for the County FA in 2007 after 3 years as a Leisure Development Team Leader in a local authority. Heidi leads on all projects relating to the Raising Standards strand of the County Strategy. Heidi has a passion for safeguarding children in sport which lead her to become an FA Safeguarding Children in Football Tutor, delivering workshops across the County and also has a representation on the FA’s CRB Panel. Heidi also volunteers for the drug and alcohol addiction charity ‘Addaction’ and has a focus on leading on joint projects between the charity and the County FA.
Shelley Gudgeon
National Game Strategy Officer - Black Country
Joined the County FA in 2008. Shelley leads on projects within the Black Country (both male & female) and has a particular remit in the Stourbridge & District Youth Football league. Shelley sits on many working groups, including the Girl’s and Women’s project Group, Black Country NGB Forum, Workforce & Skills Forum, Dudley and Sandwell Volunteer Action Group and the Sandwell Football Management Group. She recently developed the Sandwell Get into Football Area Plan & has brought in nearly £20,000 to grassroots football as part of the ‘Sport Unlimited’ programme. Shelley also works with The Black Country Cardiovascular Network to sponsor grassroots football kits, promoting the ‘F.A.S.T stroke awareness’ campaign. Over 30 teams have received a free kit through the programme.
Mohammed Juned
Football Development Officer (Social Inclusion)
Joined the County FA in 2009. Juned has been heavily involved in engaging under represented groups (supported accommodations league), project support and development, assessing Football Foundation Grants, facility development plans, Playing Pitch Strategies and has supported the Homeless England Network. Juned currently represents BCFA on the Race and Equality Advisory Group. Juned’s strengths lie with project support, monitoring and evaluating and creating sustainable community football infrastructures.
Kath Tranter
PA to Football Development Executive(CDM)
Kath joined BCFA in 2004, having been an integral part of the game for over 30 years. Kath has been a player, coach, manager, league fixture secretary- to name a few! Kath has a wealth of knowledge in women’s football. As well as her full-time job, Kath volunteers for the West Midlands Women’s Regional League and Stoke City Girl’s Centre of Excellence. Kath currently co-ordinates the Regional Girl’s Centre of Excellence Programme, including Regional In Service Training Events and Centre of Excellence Regional Talent Camps. Kath is also a key member of the Joint Liaison Committee and Girl’s and Women’s Advisory Group.
Jasbir Batt
Coach Education Officer
Jas joined in 2008 after completing his Sport Development and Coaching Degree in 2007. Jas became a football volunteer in 2007, supporting grassroots and professional clubs. Jas is a member of the Race Equality Action Group and plays a major supporting role in the Disability Centre of Excellence programme in Birmingham. Jas supports a broad spectrum of football development programmes, including Coach Education and Charter Standard.
