Birmingham FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skills to the next level

Women and Girls

Girls and Women's football grows in popularity season after season - Birmingham County FA is developing more opportunities for females to get involved as players, coaches or referees.

West Midlands Fire Service is the official partner of the BCFA Girls & Women's Development programme.

Together we promote opportunities for women within the Fire Service as a Firefighter and within the game of football.

The Birmingham County FA currently employ 3 full-time Women and Girls Football Development Officers (Birmingham, Black Country and Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire) and 2 female Community Coaches to support the organisation and development of football opportunities across the county for women and girls.

These opportunities are accessed through various projects such as…

Female Coaching Mentoring Programme
Female Only Coaching courses
Girls Schools League
School/Club Links
Volunteering Programmes
Birmingham City, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Coventry City Centre of Excellence
Female Summer Leagues
Female Futsal Leagues
Tesco Skills Programmes
