What is Aspire2?
Aspire2 is the pinnacle of the young leaders programme at Birmingham County FA providing support and volunteering opportunities to 20 young leaders.
Who can apply to be a member of Aspire2?
You have to be aged between 14 and 22 and currently volunteering in football.
If you are not currently volunteering in football but would like to get involved please contact Claire Mulvenna at Claire.mulvenna@birminghamfa.com and we’ll happily help you get started on your volunteering journey!
How can you become a part of Aspire2?
The 20 young leaders are selected through various projects who Birmingham County FA work with and projects that the development team at BCFA coordinate.
Young leaders involved in the Football Future programme, social inclusion and disability focused projects can apply to be a part of Aspire2. If you volunteer at a local Charter Standard club, your school, college or University you too could be a part of the programme and access the benefits!
To apply you should complete the application form on the right of this page and send it to Claire Mulvenna at Birmingham County FA, County Offices, Ray Hall Lane, Great Barr, Birmingham, B43 6JF. Don’t worry if you don’t have any football related qualifications we are looking for committed individuals who are currently volunteering to be involved in the programme.
What do you get for being a part of the Aspire2 programme?
As a member of Aspire2 you get access to the very best volunteering opportunities in the Birmingham County FA region first! This year the opportunities have included coaches working at the Grassroots Live Show at Birmingham’s NEC, young leaders volunteering at a coaching workshop lead by England Ladies National Coach Hope Powell and 2 young leaders were even lucky enough to go to South Africa prior to the 2010 World Cup!
Each year the opportunities will vary and some will be restricted by age but as a part of Aspire2 you will get the opportunity to say yes first!
