Insurance

Birmingham County FA and Sportsguard are joining forces to offer affiliated clubs and their members even greater insurance benefits in 2008.

Clubs will be aware that all Teams are now mandated to have Personal Accident Insurance as part of their affiliation package.
BCFA are delighted to announce that there has been no increase in premiums for the New Season 2011/2012.

In fact Youth Teams will make a greater saving as the BCFA has now incorporated a brand new Mini Soccer Premium of just £ 14.00, which complements the low cost for Youth Teams of only £ 22.00

Adult Teams Premiums also remain the same with three good options commencing at an annual payment of £ 55.00 – in addition the optional extras now incorporate dislocation benefit at a still affordable £ 38.00 per Team – this to complement payments for broken bones, dental and hospital benefits. Teams also retain the ability to add different levels of insurance cover to suit individual needs.

It is absolutely crucial that Clubs ensure that they obtain the right level of cover for the best competitive prices and the County FA approved Scheme with Sportsguard Insurance ensures this with specific benefits that its competitors do not offer.

Such Insurance for Adult Clubs must have a minimum weekly payout of £ 25.00

The County Scheme in conjunction with Sportsguard Insurance is one that is far more comprehensive than others – critically it covers Life Insurance that no other Company caters for (not to be confused by Accidental Death) Regrettably Sportsguard Insurance have had to pay out on a number of occasions for Life Insurance where Accidental Death would not have met any cost!!

Such Mandatory Policies are becoming the norm throughout football as standards and requirements are raised and it is important that the BCFA continue to remain at the forefront of Football and decisions relating to in the best interest of all those involved.

The benefit of the BCFA Block Scheme, in conjunction with Sportsguard Insurance, is that any Club/Team currently having Personal Accident Insurance will now pay substantially less than they do at the moment for a much more comprehensive cover

Those Teams not having any Insurance will now need to ensure such cover with this being perceived as a negligible additional cost against the protection of a player’s well being through potential financial hardship should they face a short or lengthy absence from work

Present Insurance culture suggests a higher proportion of Teams already have policies and with the new Premiums (as attached) being radically less than at current, this will reflect a massive money saver for those Clubs at a time when money is tight

All Clubs will receive the Insurance Offer with their Affiliation Form – but may take out the Insurance at anytime

In due course you will receive an Invoice from Sportsguard Insurance with full payment needing to be made as specified.
You may if you wish to do so enclose the Payment with the Form ensuring that the Cheque is made payable to Sportsguard Insurance

The scheme has the ability to include more enhanced optional extras by application directly with Sportsguard Insurance

Any Club not taking advantage of the BCFA Scheme with Sportsguard Insurance MUST forward a copy of their Personal Accident Insurance Cover when returning their Affiliation Form
