Refereeing Questions Answered

3:48 PM, Thursday, 07 August 08. Refereeing

Anyone with an interest or an involvement in football and refereeing can indulge their interest at one of three special events being held in the Black Country, Birmingham and Warwickshire.

The FA Match Officials Association (FAMOA) Training Events will include presentations to develop on-field refereeing skills with a fantastic opportunity to reflect and learn more from experienced colleagues.

Following presentations from experts including ex-Football League Referee and FA Regional Manager for Referees, Ray Olivier there will be a chance to quiz the hosts in an Open Forum session.

“There is so much going on in refereeing at the moment – some really interesting development programmes and training opportunities,” said BCFA Referee Development Officer, David Nixon who is coordinating the events.

“I’m sure that anyone who attends – no matter how much experience they have within the game – will leave feeling thoroughly informed and involved.”

The free events are being held at Solihull Moors FC on Monday 6th October, St Patrick’s Club, Leamington on Monday 3rd November and at Dudley Sports & Social Club, Brierley Hill on Monday 17th November.

Each event kicks off at 7pm and are free to attend.
