Ian Clarkson the Independent Assessor of the course said “The standard of the course was really high and the participants were keen and enthusiastic and showed a great deal of skill.”

Clarkson added “The course has been an absolute credit and Paul has done some fantastic work here and long may it continue.”

The students were asked for their feedback on the course. Student Kyle Sugrue, 17, said “I have really enjoyed the course and learned how to coach a group properly and I learned some new games I can use in the future”.

Fellow student, 16 year old Mark Day said “ I thought the course was hard work but found it very interesting and l was very proud that l completed the course”.

Sky Blues in the Community have recently received £60000 from the Football League Trust supported by the New Football Pools to run a project alongside their already successful Disability programme.

Every Player Counts, a leading project of The Football League Trust and supported by The New Football Pools, will see the Sky Blues in the community deliver a 3-year, PAN-Disability scheme that will develop football opportunities for people with all types of disability in the area.

As part of the programme Sky Blues in the Community have committed to deliver a Coach Education programme creating 30 Level One Coaches with disabilities and 48 Junior Football Organisers over the next 3 years.
