Birmingham took the lead as early as two minutes, Jake Kirchoff-Sleet was fouled in the box, Rob Lovegrove the Referee had no hesitation in pointing to the spot, Luke Shearer then scored from the spot.
Four minutes later Jake Kirchoff-Sleet was again involved, finding Shearer whose cross was met by Lewis Suckling but his header went over, Luke Shearer was foiled after twelve minutes by the Northamptonshire keeper Ollie Stock saving with his feet, moments later Jordan Ward headed over from six yards following a Luke Shearer free kick.
Jake Kirchoff-Sleet was again in the action crossing for Shearer to back heel into the net to double Birmingham’s lead after twenty two minutes.
Harrison White shot over from ten yards as Birmingham totally dominated the first half.
A mix up in Northamptonshire’s defence saw Lewis Suckling battle to win the ball and slid home making the score 3-0. A free kick from Luke Shearer saw George Washbourne ‘s shot saved by the goalkeeper, Omari Sterling-James then scored having hit the rebound in the sixty fifth minute.
A right wing corner in the sixty eighth minute came out to Omari Sterling-James, who played a quick 1-2 with Luke Shearer and shot across the keeper, scoring Birmingham’s fifth. A break down in the right by Lewis Suckling finding Luke Shearer who made no mistake with his left foot shot in the seventy sixth minute.
In the eighty eighth minute Lewis Suckling ran into the box and was pulled down from behind, giving the referee no alternative but to award a penalty, Suckling scored from the spot making the final score 7-0.
