West Midlands Regional Disability Talent Centres Disability Talent Days

The Regional Talent Centres will continue to offer the highest quality coaching and challenge for youth players aspiring to reach National Impairment…

We are delighted to announce that Birmingham FA have been awarded 2016-17 operating licenses for the Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Partially Sighted & Deaf (PS&D) Regional Talent Centres (RTC’s).

Details for both RTC’s are available at the bottom of the page, to recruit the highest level of player and allow all players the opportunity to trial we will be hosting a number of ‘Talent Days’ which will be spread across the county to make them as accessible as possible for all.

This is a wonderful chance for a football player, with any of the following impairments or disabilities:

  • Partially sighted (visual impairment)
  • Deaf/hearing impaired
  • Cerebral Palsy (impairment of muscle tone, movement, co-ordination and control)
  • Blind

Talent Days will include technical and game related practises which will mirror RTC training as well as offering insight into the Strength & Conditioning and Sports Psychology aspects of the programme. Parents and carers will be given further information on the commitments of the RTC’s and the varied training and playing opportunities available to successful trialist.

RTC’s are part of the FA’s Disability Talent Pathway and allow elite players the opportunity to progress through to national opportunities and support them on their journey to representing England in the future. To reflect this, the staff at all RTC’s are both highly experienced and qualified within disability football and the relevant formats of the game.
