Birmingham FA new Disability Football Development Officer

Birmingham County FA is delighted to welcome our new Disability Football Development Officer, Jasbir Batt, who moves from Workforce department.

As well as working for Birmingham FA, Jasbir will be working with a number of disability centres across Birmingham, which will see him further the development of grassroots football. In his role as Disability Football Development Officer, Jasbir will support the delivery of disability and inclusion football across the Birmingham region, in-line with The FA’s National Game Strategy 2015-2019.

On his appointment in his new position, Jasbir said: “I am excited to begin a new stage in my career in this particular role and make a real difference, providing opportunities and increasing the awareness of disability football throughout the region. I want to provide a solid foundation for grassroots disability football as well as developing elite players across the region and nationally".

Jasbir has moved from working in the coach education department as the Workforce Manager, in which during his time he created a coach education centre for Birmingham FA and ensured thousands of coaches had the opportunity to start their coaching journey or climb up pathway. Jasbir previously worked as a sports coordinator in Scotland before he joined Birmingham FA. Throughout his time working at Birmingham FA, Jasbir has had a tremendous passion for disability football, working at numerous disability centres, the most notably being FA Regional Cerebral Palsy Centre of Excellence (West Midlands).

Jasbir started his coaching journey in 2000 and since has achieved FA Youth Award Module 3 and UEFA B License. Jasbir supports Liverpool FC and is an avid fan who constantly makes the trip up to Liverpool when he can. Away from football he enjoys watching various other sports including darts which he believes he is a fairly decent player. Jasbir also enjoys playing a bit of squash in his spare time.

Jasbir Batt officially started his position as of 1st September and everyone here at Birmingham FA wishes him luck in the new role. He can contacted via email or 0121 357 4278 Ext: 211.
