Birmingham County FA is proud to announce details for its inaugural Pan-Disability Education League Festival Day, which will take place at Trico Stadium, the home of Redditch United FC, on Thursday 30 March 2023.

The event, the first of its kind in the city of Birmingham, is an all-inclusive event that will act as the centrepiece for the organisation's new Pan-Ability football division. The Pan-Disability Education League is open to Further Education students, specifically those between the ages of 16 and 18, and it is appropriate for any aspiring footballers of any gender identification who wishes to compete in disability football activity. 

Birmingham County FA continuously demonstrates its commitment towards providing football competitions for players with disabilities. There are multiple other disability football leagues within the county, and they can be found here 

Now, Birmingham County FA takes things even further with its first ever Pan-Disability Education League Festival Day. The event will mark a grand finale for the first season of its Pan-Disability division, providing a showcase for the players to show off their talents and to recognise their achievements on the pitch.

The Pan-Disability Education League sees three teams compete against each other in a series of fixtures. The festival day itself will act as a ‘final’ day of the campaign in the form of a round-robin schedule that sees all three teams compete against each other one more time. At the end of the day, the league champions will be crowned and will receive a special trophy to mark their triumph. In addition, all players across the competition will be presented with a medal, and each team will have the opportunity to nominate their Player Of The Season.

Disability football is a very popular sport, and it is currently the seventh largest team sport in the country. It is estimated that 18.4 million people in the country have a long-standing disability or illness. As things stand, more than 30 England Talent days are delivered nationally, and Birmingham County FA are delighted to contribute even more with this festival day.
