PLAYING AT UNIVERSITY

Within the Birmingham FA boundary, there are Higher Education establishments: The University of Birmingham, The University of Warwick, The University of Wolverhampton, Coventry University, Aston University, Birmingham City University, University College Birmingham & Newman University.

The first 5 of the 8 Universities are part of The FA’s HUB funding programme, through which they promote internal and external participation, workforce development and community club links.

At University, one of the best ways to meet like-minded people, to have fun and to broaden your horizons, is to join a football club.

The FA, in partnership with BUCS and Sport England, support a University Football Activator at the 5 HUB funded Universities.

Activators work as Football Development Officers at the University; facilitating football opportunities for active students and intra-mural competitions while supporting BUCS football too.

Our Universities offer students opportunities in football and futsal clubs for all abilities.
