The Birmingham FA’s benevolent Fund is not an insurance scheme but does support members of the local football family in times of need. The fund is to support referees during injuries and sickness.

Joel Richards DEVELOPMENT Fund

The Joel Richards Development Fund is now available to anyone who has the drive to go forward, between the ages of 16 and 26, who need financial support to help them get involved with football. Find out more and how to apply by clicking below.

FAQs

Only Birmingham FA affiliated referees can apply for the Benevolent fund.

Joel Richards Foundation Legacy Fund can only be applied for by 14 - 25 year olds.

Each application is considered by Benevolent committee and Joel Richards Legacy Fund committee group.

You will receive your money once a decision has been made on your application  committee have had their meeting and decision has been met.
