Dynamo Dudley FC vs Wolverhampton Casuals FC

On Sunday 24th April marked the BCFA Sunday Vase Cup Final between Wolverhampton Casuals Sunday and Dynamo Dudley. This final was a highly anticipated game after both teams successful navigated through the preliminary rounds to reach the Birmingham FA Sunday Vase Cup Final. The final took place at Birmingham FA county ground at Ray Hall Lane.

Wolverhampton Casuals started the brighter of the two teams and took the lead midway through the first half with Daniel Westwood converting after a 1-on-1 with the keeper. Wolverhampton had the better of the chances, with some good work down the left hand side of their attack.

The second goal came soon after, a through ball to the left winger who was brought down by a Dynamo Dudley defender. Daniel Westwood stayed composed to convert his second of the game. Dudley started to get back into the game just before half time, however had no clear cut chances before the break.

Wolverhampton Casuals continued to impress into the second half, having the best chances of the two games. A goal from Joey Williams making the score 3-0 to Wolverhampton seemed to put the game out of the reach of Dynamo Dudley. Dynamo Dudley changed formations a few times as they tried to push for goals, however the change to a back three lead to them being exposed on the counter attack. Alex Hyde and Jack Corns bagged two more goals for Wolverhampton Casuals in quick succession. Before Alex Hyde got a second to round of a resounding 6-0 win.



There was only one dampener for Wolverhampton, Jack Corns was stretchered off near the end of the second half. We wish him all the best in his recovery.
