The Birmingham FA’s benevolent Fund is not an insurance scheme but does support members of the local football family in times of need. The fund is to support referees during injuries and sickness.

Joel Richards Foundation Legacy Fund

A free fund for young people to access to help them within football in honour of Joel Richards

Each successful application of the fund, will be entitled to receive a free pot of funding, to help towards their footballing journey. The Joel Richards Legacy Fund is now available to anyone in the Birmingham region, between the ages of 12 and 25, who need financial support to help them get involved with football.

FAQs

Only Birmingham FA affiliated referees can apply for the Benevolent fund.

Joel Richards Foundation Legacy Fund can only be applied for by 14 - 25 year olds.

Each application is considered by Benevolent committee and Joel Richards Legacy Fund committee group.

You will receive your money once a decision has been made on your application  committee have had their meeting and decision has been met.
