The Lucozade Sport Performance League consisted of 80 teams both men and women from all over the country, and Tipton Town Ladies performed fantastically finishing a respectable 6th position in the league tables.
The day out to Old Trafford was a great treat for the girls and Susan Albrighton Secretary of Tipton Town Ladies said “The match was fantastic, both teams really fought hard”
Susan added” it was extra special day out for us as The official Manchester United match commentator Alan Keegan even interviewed ‘The Gaffer’ Faye Harrison at half time.”
Tipton Town Ladies were also presented with the LSPL Club Of The Year award, and star player Kiren Rana was presented with the Golden Boot Trophy, after fending off stiff competition from the other 800+ hopefuls in the league. Kiren has had an amazing season this year, scoring a phenomenal 8 hat tricks and 30 goals out of 21 appearances.
Susan added “ On top of gaining promotion to the Premier Division, we have certainly topped off an amazing year and we cant thank the LSPL enough for making us feel more like a premiership club.
