As a Player, there are many opportunities for you to play our National game in the County, regardless of age, gender, ability, race, culture or background.

Whether you are male, female, young, old or disabled, whether you want to play 11v11, small sided, formally, informally, Birmingham County FA have an extensive programme of footballing opportunities to suit all.

There is no shortage of different forms of football for you to get involved in. From the small-sided, such as Mini Soccer for young children taking their first steps in the game, Futsal and of course the hugely popular five-a-side, to the more traditional 11 v 11 format of the game – there is something for everyone!

However you choose to enjoy playing football, there are Clubs throughout the County that make up the membership of Birmingham County FA, each of whom are involved in regular league football.

In addition, you can also find out how to get involved in football on a more casual basis through our partnership with The FA and Mars ‘Just Play’ scheme and through several affiliated small sided providers.

For young children (aged 5-11 years) our team of experts from The FA Skills programme provide a number of Skills Centres and Holiday course for children. And the new FA Vauxhall Mash Up sessions are now up and running across the County for young people aged 14-17.

Within the County, we also run a ‘talent pathway’ for more elite players through our Girls' Centres of Excellence, Player Development Centres and Disability Development Centres.
