Senior Challenge Cup 2019


Leamington Football Club will open the defence of the Birmingham County FA Senior Challenge Cup at home to Highgate United, after the draw for the competition’s opening round was made at the County FA’s Ray Hall Lane headquarters.

The Brakes defeated Nuneaton Borough 4-1 at St Andrew’s last May to lift the historic trophy for the second time in three years.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers will visit Stratford Town in the competition’s opening stage, and Hednesford Town host Burton Albion. Walsall will make the trip to Rushall Olympic, whilst Rugby Town will entertain Coventry City.

Tamworth will play host to Birmingham City in the Senior Challenge Cup first round, with West Bromwich Albion journeying to Redditch United – and Solihull Moors will entertain Boldmere St Michaels.

All first round ties are to be played on or before Saturday 26 October 2019.
