BCFA College League Returns

The 2023/24 BCFA College League will start again this week.

The Birmingham County FA College League is due to commence for the 2023/24 season this week! Last season’s winners Rugby Borough have now moved across to another League, so there is room for a new name to etch themselves on the League shield.

The 2023/24 season again sees the League split into two divisions with colleges given the option of a Wednesday and Friday format yet again, allowing for more opportunities for students to play. The Wednesday division this season is comprised of 6 teams: Invictus Education, Redditch United, Tudor Grange Academy, University College Birmingham and Next Generation entering both their Landau Forte and John Taylor Free School teams. Elsewhere the Friday division has grown and now features 7 teams for the coming season: Aston Villa Foundation, Birmingham City Community Trust, City of Wolverhampton College, Ormiston Football Academy, Redditch United and Wolves Foundation have also entered two sides.

The first batch of fixtures are due to kick off Wednesday 27th September, with University College Birmingham hosting Redditch United and Invictus Education welcoming John Taylor Free School. Looking ahead to Friday 29th September, Redditch United welcome Wolves Foundation, City of Wolverhampton College host Ormiston Football Academy and Aston Villa Foundation face the old rivals in Birmingham City Community Trust.
