Women's Football

WOMEN'S FOOTBALL ACROSS THE REGION

With almost three million active female players, football is the biggest women’s team sport in England – but there is plenty of room for more people to get involved.

Women’s football across the Birmingham FA County ranges from recreational small sided games, to professional teams with international players who are at the highest level of the women’s game.

We support a number of leagues and opportunities across the County for women and girls to play the beautiful game, including one of the largest youth female leagues in the country.

THE FA WOMEN'S & GIRLS' STRATEGY

The FA Female Strategy

The FA plans to double the number of women and girls taking part in football by 2020.

We have three simple goals to increase the number and diversity of women’s coaches, referees and administrators in the sport at all levels.

  • Double Participation
  • Double Fans
  • Consistent Success on the World Stage
