SSE Wildcats 2017-2018 ROARS INTO LIFE

There are 41 centres across the county.

The SSE Wildcats programme has launched across the Birmingham Football Association County for the 2017-2018 season. There are 41 centres across our region, with the aim of them being to offer girls aged 5-11 the chance to experience football for the first time in a fun and safe environment.

SSE Wildcat centres focus on player enjoyment, making new friends and living a healthy lifestyle by participating in a high-quality activity at a low cost.

Key Wildcat Centre Information

  • All of the centres will be running from Sunday 22nd April 2018, with the sessions taking place on midweek evenings and weekends.
  • The Wildcat centres are hosted by grassroots clubs, professional clubs, community departments and coaching organisations.
  • All sessions will be delivered by FA qualified coaches who have also attained their safeguarding qualification.

Parents are encouraged to watch these sessions and are welcome to get involved to help their daughter when needed.

Rafe Turner, Birmingham FA Football Development Officer for Women and Girls, stated: “We are delighted to have so many new SSE Wildcat Centres starting this season, as well as some of last year’s continuing to provide an amazing first experience for young girls to play football.

“I would encourage any parents or guardians to give their local centre a try as they do so much more than just offering the opportunity to play football. They provide the perfect environment to play fun games, make friends and fall in love with football.”
