The Birmingham County Walking Football League has today surpassed the 500 mark for player registration with the league.
This therefore means that 514 players are now registered participants with the league, making it the largest affiliated Walking Football competition nationwide!
This is phenomenal news and the age range is outstanding, the oldest player participating in the league sitting at 80 years old.
The league have taken massive steps in representing Walking Football not only within Birmingham County FA, but also a driving force for change nationally. Since their inception the league has become more professional annually, the league now hosts 5 divisions with 48 teams competing. The league have developed a positive working relationship with Birmingham County FA and we are now pushing to improve Referee Education as a result of the league’s passionate officiating team. We are hoping to deliver a Walking Football referee course in early 2023 to further enhance the current offering the league has for it’s players.
