Cadbury Athletic win the 2022 Saturday Vase after a dominant display against Tipton Town.

Josh McGinley played a pivotal role as he scored four goals in the final for the Chocolate Men.
Oliver Hartill’s side took the lead in the opening stages after Town failed to clear a corner and McGinley capitalised from close range.
Cadbury who were buoyed by the swift start had another huge chance as McGinley made a precise pass to release Ethan Hanks who was denied with a superb save from Christopher Thomas.
The Chocolate Men went close when Adam Bourn deceived a defender with a brilliant turn before his long range effort produced another excellent save from Thomas.
Oliver Hartill’s side dictated proceedings during the first period and doubled the lead as McGinley bundled the ball home after a brilliant cross from Bourn.
Neil Perk’s side who had been second best had a huge chance to halve the deficit before half time through Harry Clifton who had a low attempt from outside the area which was tipped wide from Fraser Oliver.
Cadbury went into the interval ahead and had a strong start to the second half as Connor Scott made a brilliant block to stop a guaranteed goal from Brett Fellows.
The Chocolate Men added to the advantage minutes after the restart. McGinley completed his hat-trick after Thomas parried a shot from Fellows into his path and he made no mistake from close range.
Both sides made substitutions throughout the second half and Sean McLoughlin almost had an instant impact after he beat his defender but his shot from an acute angle went wide.
Tipton struggled to create in the second half. However, Town went close when Connor Appleyard had an attempt which was straight at Oliver and Nataniel D'Jalo had a shot which was weak. However, Cadbury remained resolute to secure the clean sheet.
The Chocolate Men made it four in the final stages after McGinley found space in the six-yard box and headed home past the helpless Thomas after a fantastic cross from Fellows to complete a successful season.
The two clubs had nominated their individual worthy of the Club Volunteer award and Tony Forletta and Nicola Wheale picked it up for Cadbury Athletic and Tipton Town respectively.
The man of the match award was unsurprisingly handed to Cadbury Athletic’s number 9, Josh McGinley after scoring all four of the goals.
