Gain experience in grassroots football and media

After a successful first year running a student media team, Birmingham County FA are looking for 12 students who would like to gain valuable experience by volunteering alongside our Media & Content Officer.

The main focus for the student media team will be to deliver a successful 2022/23 County Cup programme covering the 14 competitions, but there will also be opportunities to support the wider Football Development team in promoting the work we do across the county.

There are various areas in which students can support:

  • Social Media Assistant
  • Photographer(s)
  • Videographer(s)
  • Content Creator(s)
  • Journalist(s)
  • Broadcaster(s)

You can express your interest by completing the short form below:

EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST

This voluntary work is remote, covering the county, and there may be occasions where you will be expected to travel to the BCFA HQ in Great Barr, Birmingham.

There are no set working hours, but please note, County Cup fixtures take place across the weekend and some weeknights. You will be expected to support the majority of our 14 County Cup Finals which will take place throughout May and June 2023.

All travel expenses incurred when covering fixtures will be reimbursed.

Please contact Emily.Peacock@BirminghamFA.com for more information or if you have any questions relating to the roles available before submitting your expression of interest.

Save Today, Play Tomorrow

There is also a fantastic opportunity to join our team on a voluntary basis to support our social media channels for our new award-winning sustainability programme, Save Today, Play Tomorrow. This will involve an average of 5 hours of support work a week.

If you have an interest in football and sustainability or would like to learn more about the positive role sport can have on the environment, then get in touch via SaveTodayPlayTomorrow@BirminghamFA.com. You could be the one to support our Programme Lead and Media & Content Officer in building the brand and promoting our work in making the game greener.

Contact us no later than Friday 7 October to submit your interest in the sustainability role.
