PARTNERSHIP: STACK-CUP

We are pleased to announce a partnership with Stack-Cup to offer clubs the opportunity to introduce reusable, washable cups.

Birmingham County FA are pleased to announce a partnership with Stack-Cup to offer clubs the opportunity to introduce reusable, washable cups as part of their Save Today, Play Tomorrow programme.

In a hassle-free and affordable way for BCFA affiliated clubs, Stack-Cup are offering a discounted cost of the cups and the process is easy for you to manage. Having already secured a partnership through the RFU for clubs, Stack-Cup are able to offer a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic, supported by Birmingham County FA.

Stack-Cup offers many benefits to football clubs, and the stackable cups deliver a better experience than a standard cup, whilst allowing you to carry more and waste less. This means that customers will no longer require trays to carry multiple drinks through the clubhouse and can also reduce the number of people queuing at the bar.

Made in the UK of polypropylene, the cups are BPA free and can be washed in a standard dishwasher. There are pint and half pint cups available, with the option of a stack-flute available too for wine and prosecco.

Birmingham County FA and Stack-Cup have agreed three windows for purchasing throughout the season to allow clubs to place orders at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of each season to cater for all busy periods like Summer tournaments and end of season presentations.

The award-winning Save Today, Play Tomorrow programme continues to develop with initiatives like this partnership and we want to continue to have a positive impact through our business and hope that we can empower our wider club community to take positive sustainable actions. We hope this partnership can help clubs to join us in this movement for change and contribute to our ambitious aims to create a low carbon greener game.

Richard Lindsay, Sustainability & Business Insights Manager at Birmingham County FA and programme lead for Save Today, Play Tomorrow said “when we launched the programme in 2021, we were passionate about partnering with organisations that reflect our ambitions and who wanted to provide the grassroots game with more affordable alternative products & services to help support and sustain the game in the long term. With this new exciting partnership with Stack-Cup, we hope to see a huge reduction in the purchasing of single use plastic cups that clubs use for their events, by making the switch to a reusable option.”
