Mental Health Festivals continue at Aston Villa Foundation!

So far, our Mental Health Festival has seen five events with over 150 players benefitting from participation

Aston Villa Foundation hosted the fifth instalment of the Birmingham FA Mental Health League last Tuesday, attended by Alvechurch, Mindful FA, Walsall, Wolverhampton Wanderers and the hosts Aston Villa.

The five clubs participated in a round-robin style league with competitive action being paired with positive engagement.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers keeper pulled off some outstanding saves, Walsall showed their guile throughout, Alvechurch managed a larger squad to ensure equal game time, Villa made a strong debut and Mindful continued there consistent and conservative approach.

Wolves ran out winner of the league format and were rewarded with a Semi-Final fixture against Mindful FA. In the other Semi-Final, Villa came undone from a resilient Walsall.

The final became a hotly contested fixture which saw Wolves Foundation come out as winners!

Albion Foundation have hosted on two occasions with Alvechurch, Walsall and Aston Villa also picking up the hosting duties to great success.
