Rainbow Laces 2023 - Lace Up to Keep it Up

Rainbow Laces is the leading way to show support for LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport.

Over the last ten years, Rainbow Laces has come so far. Now, it’s time to Lace Up to Keep It Up.

Birmingham FA is inviting our grassroots clubs to join us in supporting the annual Rainbow Laces campaign, and show their support for LGBTQ+ inclusion. We have a limited amount of Rainbow Laces, and your Club Secretary can request up to 30 pairs of laces per club on a first come, first served basis by contacting us at Support@BirminghamFA.com with the subject line 'Rainbow Laces'. Please include your club name, and how many you would like to request (maximum of 30). These will then be put aside for you to collect from our offices. (Please note, these will be for collection only from our offices at Ray Hall Lane, Great Barr, B43 6JF).

Since Rainbow Laces kicked off in 2013, over a million people have laced up in support of LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, fitness and physical activity. But this must-win game isn’t over yet. Large parts of the LGBTQ+ community still can’t be their true selves whilst attending or participating in sporting events. ‘Lace Up to Keep It Up’ and make football everyone's game.

Sport can bring so many benefits to our lives – not just in terms of wellbeing, but also in the ways sport brings people together. LGBTQ+ people deserve to be a part of this. They shouldn’t feel excluded or shut out just because of who they are.
