Birmingham FA are very proud to announce that we will be working together with The Powerleague Group to grow the game across the BFA area.

The Powerleague group are the world’s largest affiliated small sided football provider and was established in 1987 with their first small sided football centre opening in Paisley, Scotland. Since then, they have grown with 41 dedicated centres across the UK, Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands. 

Powerplay are the arm of Powerleague that delivers 5/6/7 a side leagues across the UK with over 270 third party venues. They are committed to growing the football in the community and communicating the benefits of playing our sports; from talking to our customers about the calories they can burn by playing a game of small sided football, to working with charities such as CALM to encourage men to talk about their mental health.

Women’s football is particularly important to their long-term plan, especially given the success of the Lionesses who are about to start their World Cup campaign down under.

Powerleague have two centres in the BFA area, one is Coventry and one in Birmingham. 

There are a range of activities to use at both centres from football league format including junior level, to tournaments, to private hire, to children's coaching courses and camps. Parties and corporate hire are also catered for with a clubhouse bar and free function space there is also ample on-site parking.

Powerleague Birmingham is a brief walk away from Aston station and has an abundance of premium, with 10 floodlit 5-aside football pitches to play on, as well as a further two 7-aside ones, all equipped with 5G quality rubber crumb surfaces.

Powerleague Coventry has 8 outdoor pitches consisting of 4 x 7 a side and 10 x 5 a side recently refurbished pitches, it has a function room, corporate facilities, a bar that also has catering facilities, a gym and ample parking.

Powerplay offers 6 a side leagues at venues in Redditch, Tamworth, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Wolverhampton, Warwick, Stratford, Coventry and Rugby. They have become the largest provider of leagues in the UK and our growing after acquiring many leagues form fellow provider Soccer 6’s. All of their leagues are affiliated and provide a positive well managed leagues with each league have a dedicated manager to support teams and referees.
