Whether you’ve just started out as a club administrator or you’ve been part of the game for longer than you can remember, we’re here to guide you through the rules and regulations that may come up in the course of running your club.
SINE DIE SUSPENSIONS
A player is placed under Sine Die Suspensions when they owe money to Birmingham FA or to a League or Club that has used the Debt Recovery Scheme.
A regulatory or Discrimination Commission shall have the power to improve a permanent suspensions from all or any specified football activity, from a date that the regulatory commission shall order for any proven case of serious misconduct.
Before signing a player it is essential that you check to ensure that they are not under any form of suspension. A player under Sine Die Suspension is prevented from taking part in any form of football activity.
PLAYING AGAINST FOREIGN CLUBS
Every year Clubs go on tours across the World, experiencing different cultures and playing against new teams. Prior to going on such a tour a Club should gain permission from the FA to play against foreign opposition.

NEW SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENTS
Clubs and Leagues are required to sanction any new sponsorship agreements with Birmingham FA. This is to ensure that the sponsor and any related advertising conforms to the FA's rules and regulations.

international CLEARANCE
FIFA Regulations require National Associations to issue an International Registration Transfer Certificate for any player over the age of 12 who is moving from one National Association to another including across UK borders.
Clubs seeking International Clearance should make a request in writing to The FA Registrations Department:

Sanctioning an event

- Complete and return our Event Sanction Form to Birmingham FA
- Send in a copy of your event rules for clarification.
- An invoiced will to sent to you directly once the form has been completed
ANSWERS TO YOUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
All charity matches and tournaments must be sanctioned by the host club or they will be in breach of Birmingham FA Membership Rules.
Failure to sanction will mean that clubs are not covered by either their Public Liability Insurance or Personal Accident Insurance and will also mean that registered referees cannot be appointed.
All Matches must be played in strict accordance with the IFAB Laws of the Game.
All Clubs or organisations given permission to play matches abroad are directed to ensure that, both on and off the field, members of the party should uphold the prestige of The Association and of their Clubs.
If you have players who originate or have played from those countries, then you will be required to complete the International Clearance Form.
