University League Big Kick Off

The BCFA Education League got underway back in October!

The BCFA Education League saw it’s University division spring into life in October!

The male division hosts 10 Universities fighting it out hoping to dethrone University of Birmingham Development who took the trophy home last season. The female division is entering it’s inaugural season with 6 Universities hoping to be crowned the first ever champions! BCU Women

In game week 1 of the men’s division, University of Warwick Development picked up the bragging rights over the Warwick Medics despite Zac Omeh’s consolation goal. University of Birmingham Dev 1 kick-started their title defence with a 2-0 victory against a much improved Birmingham City University side. Elsewhere, Aston and WLV played out a 2-2 draw and Coventry welcomed their return to the league with a comfortable victory over a newly established University College Birmingham outfit.

On the female side, Aston and Birmingham City played out a feisty local derby where BCU picked up the 4-3 victory, meanwhile Derby travelled down to Warwick and took all 3 points back to Derbyshire. University of Birmingham and Coventry make their bow in the division at later date.
